Transit Tray Capabilities
Ramsay provide foam PET thermoforming solutions, with full conversion Capabilities and fabrication. Supplying a variety of customer specific thermoformed product shapes and sizes, due to our wide range of manufacturing capabilities.
Transit Tray Materials
ECOcell foam is our core transit tray material. It’s made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable.
Made from 100% recycled PET bottles, 100% of production scrap flows back into manufacturing and ECOcell foam can be completely recycled at the end of its service life. It also has an excellent Eco footprint, as the material requires 3.5 times less energy for its production than PE foam of the same size and density and causes 94% less CO2 emissions.
It is available in 1mm to 5mm thickness (Green or grey finish), with a density range of 70 – 300kg/m³ dependant on thickness. This material is designed to provide a highly sustainable and improved alternative to cross-linked XPE, XPP and a variety of other plastic products. With Improved stiffness and compression properties in combination with thermal, oil, chemical and UV properties, differentiate ECOcell from other thermoplastic products.
ECOcell foam offers excellent durability and insulation properties (0.029 W/mK) and provides a wide temperature range: it can perform between -40°C to +150 and Short term+180°C. It also conforms to FMVSS302 and DIN 4410 fire testing with classification B2.
At Ramsay we stock ECOcell foam rolls. This allows us to offer our customers thicknesses of between 1mm – 5mm, if you are interested in Our Capabilities, please select the link. We also stock a variety of specialist grades, that offer a higher density, for more rigorous applications.

Ramsay Rubber are IATF16949, ISO19001 and ISO14001 accredited. All our materials are registered in accordance with IMDS and are ROSHH/REACH compliant. Ensuring that we meet the needs for transit tray products across packaging and Industrial markets, for several key applications.
Line Side Packaging Samples
Ramsay Rubber have the capability to manufacture custom made transit tray samples to support project development. If there are several materials under consideration, we would be happy to provide you with a sample pack, which have a range of open cell, semi closed cell and closed cell materials.
