ECOcell Foam

ECOcell foam is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable.

Made from 100% recycled PET bottles, 100% of production scrap flows back into manufacturing and ECOcell foam can be completely recycled at the end of its service life. It also has an excellent Eco footprint, as the material requires 3.5 times less energy for its production than PE foam of the same size and density and causes 94% less CO2 emissions.

It is available in 1mm to 5mm thickness (Green or grey finish), with a density range of 70 – 300kg/m³ dependant on thickness. This material is designed to provide a highly sustainable and improved alternative to cross-linked XPE, XPP and a variety of other plastic products. With Improved stiffness and compression properties in combination with thermal, oil, chemical and UV properties, differentiate ECOcell from other thermoplastic products.

ECOcell foam offers excellent durability and insulation properties (0.029 W/mK) and provides a wide temperature range: it is able to perform between -40°C to +150 and Short term+180°C. It also conforms to FMVSS302 and DIN 4410 fire testing with classification B2.

Ramsay supply a wide range of plain or adhesive backed ECOcell Foam Die Cut Gaskets, Foam Tapes, Thermoforming and Fabrication & Assembly. A majority of our Ecocell products are supplied to Automotive and Engineering industries. This is due to Ecocell foam materials properties and the flexibility of solutions it provides, in relation to sealing and temperature range for a number of high performance applications.

At Ramsay we only use materials from industry approved suppliers. In partnership with our supply partners Nitto, Recticel, Armacell, Sekisui, Avery Dennison, 3M and Zotefoams we are able to offer a wide range of high performance sponge, foams, fabrics and rubber materials. Consequently this enables us to achieve customer specification and manufacture high-quality products.
